Attached in Excel and as a PDF are the "results" of the NTSA Carbine Match
for Saturday, June 1st, 2013. Centerfire is on Tab One and Rimfire is on Tab Two
at the bottom on the spreadsheet. There were no winners and no ranking since
only three shooters finished all 5 stages. Two things were historically
interesting during this match: (1) We had more rimfire shooters than
centerfire(13 versus 9); and (2) This was the first time ever that we have been
rained out. The heavy rain caused the ranges to become slick very quickly so it
was prudent to call the match.
For the record, the weather started out overcast and humid with a strong south
wind. The temperatures started around 70 and rose into the 80s' The attendance
was good with 22 shooters, including 12 NTSA members and 10 non-members. We ran
three squads and, those that finished, shot about 120 rounds in five stages. The
match began around 9 AM and was rained out at 11:00 AM.
I want to thank Eric D., Steve C, Michael C., Dave R, Kirk S., Juan M. and Andre
M for coming out early to help set up the stages. I want to thank everyone for
coming out and shooting the match and for all the help in timing, scoring,
taping, picking up brass, and tearing down the stages. Thanks to Eric D., Kirk
S., and Juan M. for running squads and the RSO's for running the match.
