Action Shotgun Matches                                           

NOTE: Action Shotgun Matches are currently on hold due to the match director's schedule.

Sign up closes promptly at 8:30 AM and the mandatory Safety and Course of Fire Briefing will start shortly thereafter.  Matches will start around 9:00 and run untill around 12:00

Upon arrival at the match for sign-in you must complete the following:

bulletWaiver (if not previously signed or you are a guest).

We will collect money and distribute score sheets prior to the safety briefing.

Fee:     Members: $10.00    Non-members:    $20.00

Observers:  No fee, but must sign in as non-shooters 

All shooters MUST be present for the safety briefing – NO EXCEPTIONS.

We will be shooting in Pistol Bay 1 and the 50 yard rifle range.  Targets will include steel, clay pigeons and cardboard.  #7˝  or smaller bird-shot is required for steel and clay targets.  Slugs will be used on cardboard targets.  If the winds are favorable, we will have one stage with multiple aerial targets that will require #8 or #9 bird-shot.  Bring at least 125 bird-shot and 5 slugs.  As always, more ammunition is good to have.

Divisions are:

Pump:  start capacity will be 9rds total in gun

Semi-auto:  start capacity will be 9rds total in gun

Open

The match will be run on a cold range and shotguns must be cased until brought to the firing line and the Range Officer gives the command to “Load and make ready”.  Actions must be open or a chamber indicator must be used.  Competitors should bring shot-shell carriers or a shot-shell bag for ammunition.  Reloading will be necessary. 

There will be two or more squads depending on the number of competitors and RSOs present.  Competitors are asked to help reset the stages to keep the match running,   Help to set up and break down the stages is greatly appreciated.
